A good friend of mine gave me the BEST Banana Bread Recipe ever!
So, first off, thank you Leah! My whole family LOVES this banana bread recipe and I’ve been making it for over 20 years!
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar (I do 1/2 cup or a little less)
1 1/2 cups pureed/mashed bananas (about 4)
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup pecans (optional) (sometimes do chocolate chips instead – fyi… delicious!)
In a medium bowl mix flour, salt, and baking soda.
In another bowl, soften butter and mix in sugar, mashed bananas, eggs, and nuts.
Pour dry ingredients into wet ingredients and stir to combine.
Then bake in greased loaf pans:
375 for 15 min – for 2 smaller loafs
350 for 40 min for 1 bigger loaf
